OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE GRANT VALLEY TOWN BOARD'S ANNUAL ROAD TOUR OF MAY 1, 2010.

The Grant Valley Town Board of Supervisors met for their regularly scheduled annual Road Tour on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Grant Valley Town Hall.

Board Members present were Hiltz, Boyer, Rauch and Schmidt. Also present were Joel Johnson and Gordy Pierce.

Chairman Hiltz called the tour to order at 8:15 a.m.

FERN LAKE ROAD: The minimum maintenance road (now Countryside Road) should be looked into as to how far back the road goes. The corner by September Lane is bad. Countryside needs to be graded/graveled once and the tree at the end of the road connecting with Fern Lake needs to be cut down.

KIMMER ROAD: From Buchanan back west ¼ mile needs gravel.

DORIS COURT: Needs tuning to get grass out.

RED OAKS ADDITION: Need to set up for bids to be shaped and graveled possibly. The resident at 1856 Oak Ridge Road SW has logs in the ditch and needs to be sent a letter. Pine Circle Court SW needs to be tuned up.

BUCHANAN: O.k., but still needs patching on the bituminous.

LEONARDWAY RD: Speed Limit sign needs to be fixed.

SPORTSMENS: Snow fence still up. Gordy Pierce will take this down. From the stop sign North ¼ of a mile needs gravel. Mel Spies is putting in a development at some point in the future and we stopped and talked with him about the road going to Clarence Bohlman’s. He will have a preliminary plat this summer possibly.

RIVER CROSSING: Will finish brushing this winter, was too wet this spring. Miller’s want the hump at the beginning of the Road taken down.

RIVER HEIGHTS: Piles of dirt are still down by the river and the tree blocking the sign needs to be cut down.

COUNTRY VIEW: There is a sign down. On the corner the back needs to be elevated. Needs gravel from the corner to the top of the hill.

TALL TIMBER LANE: O.k.

HIDDEN MEADOWS: O.k.

DEER HAVEN CT SW: Needs gravel in the corner at the beginning of the road.

SUNSET MEADOWS: Needs brushing.

BELTRAMI LINE ROAD: Needs gravel and needs to be pulled in if possible. The corner by 149 is bad. We should look to see when our road agreement with Rockwood is up.

STONE LAKE ROAD SW: O.k.

BOOT LAKE ROAD SW: O.k.

BOOTLEG LAKE: Needs gravel and ditching. Joel Johnson will give us a number on what it would cost.

HUCKLEBERRY: O.k.

DIVISION: Needs gravel and ditching.

WHISPERWOOD: Needs tree cleaned up and there is a bad spot at 676 and needs some gravel.

BALSAM RIDGE SW: Road needs to be brought in and soft spots need gravel.

MISTY MEADOWS: Needs dips fixed with gravel.

BALSAM RIDGE NW: A centerline crossover culvert needs to be put in by Bellinos. Otherwise o.k. Brushing has been done down by Holderbeckers.

LEPRECHAUN: Needs to be graded.

SHAMROCK COURT: O.k.

BLARNEY CT: Road needs to be bladed all the way to the end.

SIRIUS, POLLYX, PROCYON, CAPELLA: O.k. Couple of trees down and need to be taken out. No news on the easement problem yet.

JUNEBERRY: Needs grading. 9956 filled in ditch with black dirt and that needs to be taken out and his mailbox moved back.

GRANT LAKE LANE: Tree needs to be cleaned up and wood in right of way at 674.

GRANTWOOD: O.k., needs edges cut back.

MELBY LANE: O.k.

STONE LAKE ROAD: Gravel is thin and needs to be done within the next few years. Brush on corner needs to be cut down again. Gravel from Division to corner needs to be done this year.

STACYRICH: Waiting for gravel but o.k. so far.

BIRCH HILL: O.k.

OLD WILLOW COURT: O.k.

ARCHERY ROAD: Sign down at the beginning and the road needs help.

PAUL MILLER LANE: O.k.

MID-VALLEY LANE: O.k. needs shoulders brought in.

ANNALEE LANE: O.k. needs shoulders brought in.

ARCHERY CLUB ROAD: STS needs to pick up litter.

AVERI CIRCLE – O.k.

SCHROEDER ROAD: Needs gravel and there is garbage in the road.

SWEDMARK LANE: Needs shouldering.

HIDDEN TRAIL: Needs patching.

GRANT VALLEY ROAD, BIG NORTH, ETC.: Scrape gravel off tar at end of Grant Valley and Schroeder where they meet and there is a pole in the ditch on the corner of Grant Valley and Grossbeak. Need arrow sign put up at Big North and Grossbeak.

JOHNSVILLE: O.k., cracks need to be sealed.

HUMMINGBIRD: O.k.

BUTTERFLY AND COCOON: Needs grading and gravel.

15^th STREET: O.k. Speed limit sign needs to be fixed.

CARMEN DRIVE: O.k.

QUINCY, KENNEDY and ADAMS: Needs brushing.

COUNTRY FIELD: Need crack sealing.

LITTLE FIELD: Need crack sealing.

BOOT LAKE ROAD: Good.

GRANT HILLS ROAD SW: Needs to be pulled in

Road Tour adjourned at 12:45 p.m. back at the town hall.
