OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE GRANT VALLEY TOWN BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ROAD MEETING OF THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2009.

The Grant Valley Town Board of Supervisors met for a road meeting on Thursday June 11, 2009 at the Grant Valley Town Hall.

Board Members and employees present were Hiltz, Boyer, Rauch and Clerk Schmidt.  The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

All roads on the road tour minutes were reviewed.

Sealcoating, crack sealing, etc.  Supervisor Boyer checked with the county and they do not do it so he contacted someone else and is waiting for them to come to town to get more information.  Supervisor Hiltz made a motion to allow the sealcoating, crack sealing, etc. to be done on a not to exceed $10,000.00 amount.  Supervisor Boyer seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.

Spot graveling – Sportsmens, Country View, Boot Lake Leg Road, Huckleberry, Balsam Ridge NW, Hummingbird

Ask Gordy Pierce if he got the “Bridge Out” sign done on River Heights and the “Stop Ahead” sign on Country View and “Yield” signs by Sirius and “Stop” sign on Grant Hills Road SW and if he asked the county about the no parking sign.

Supervisor Boyer made a motion to send letters to the Tall Timber Lane residents, 4118 needs a culvert and 4177 has rocks in the right-of-way.  Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.

Sunset Meadows needs gravel (more than spot gravel), but will be tabled until next year.

Discussion held on Boot Lake Leg Road and we have not heard from FEMA but if we decide to do something we need to get ahold of the Army Corp of Engineers.  Supervisor Boyer will call them next week and start the ball rolling.  This will need a lift of gravel and so when this is being done we will do some gravel on Huckleberry also.  Balsam Ridge SW is also a road that we need the Army Corp of Engineers to look at.

Balsam Ridge NW also needs a culvert fixed.

Archery – Marlys Eckman called Supervisor Rauch and left a message regarding whether calcium chloride was going to be put on Archery.  It is possible if we get some FEMA money that we might be able to do this, but no decision has been made on that.

Archery Club Road (has new name now but not sure what it is) – a resident found a bunch of garbage and dug through it and found the name and turned it in to the sheriff and contacted Supervisor Hiltz to see if something will happen and might be at the regular meeting tonight.

Supervisor Hiltz made a motion to send an email out to Troy Gihlcrest and see if a resident can put a sign up in the midst of 200' of road right-of-way and, if so, can we charge them rent, etc.  Supervisor Boyer seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.

Supervisor Boyer made a motion to have Gordy to put up 4 no parking within 500 feet signs around the corner by Gerald Miller's house.  Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.

As there was no further business, Supervisor Boyer made a motion to adjourn. Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on a unanimous voice call vote. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm

Respectfully Submitted,

Angela Schmidt
